One or two clear syllables are easy to repeat, but rhythm matters more than a strict rule. A longer formal name can work beautifully if it has an easy everyday version.
Can I rename an adopted cat?
Yes. Pair the new name with food, play, and a consistent warm tone. Many adopted cats learn a new name readily; patience matters more than preserving a shelter label that does not fit.
Are the names generated by AI?
No. The launch catalog is hand-edited and matched with a deterministic scoring model. Purrname does not send your choices to an external AI service.
